A Unique Glass House Ministry Case
Glass House Ministry spearheaded a home remodel project to help a church family stricken by a rare stroke that left a young husband and father of 2 a quadriplegic and on a ventilator. The project generated 70 volunteers from within the Church body, 10 volunteers from other churches and 10 from the non-church “community”, along with open-armed City planning support and a special loan. Family Case Summaries – 2007 and 2008
In our first year of operation (2007), in partnership with The Crossing Church, Glass House Ministry counseled 12 cases involving families who had suffered some type of financial trauma. Of those cases, half were single mothers. Three-quarters of the cases are now functioning within the boundaries of their new financial parameters -- a 75% success rate.
In 2008, Glass House Ministry worked with 20 cases, some of which are still ongoing. Of those, half are single parents, with half of those single dads. To date, two-thirds of the cases are now functioning within the boundaries of their new financial parameters -- a 66% success rate.
