Our Life Support Services for Financial Wellbeing: C.P.R.
RESTORE (Intensive Care)
Glass House Ministry accepts “family” cases for hands-on financial counseling and assistance. In partnering with the Church, we provide families in financial distress the opportunity for individual mentoring, accountability and support -- bringing them from hurting to healing and self-sufficiency. The heart of our ministry is for the generational financial wellbeing of families. Therefore, our focus is on helping the leader of the family learn to steward their resources and pass on leadership principles to their children.
Our goal is to promote the financial wellbeing of families for generations, and to promote the financial strength of the Church.
The key to a successful RESTORE program is the family’s willingness to help themselves. This allows the family to learn to make choices and control their outcome, thus removing excuses and blame.
How does RESTORE work?
Our program has 3 key components:
The process has 3 key steps:
- Connecting the family with the essential physical, emotional and spiritual resources they need through the local Church body
- Preparing and executing a plan for financial recovery
- Re-engaging the family as a financially and spiritually sound entity that is fully contributing to the Church
Who can qualify for the RESTORE program?
Glass House Ministry accepts “family” cases.
The RESTORE Process
Glass House Ministry uses the following 3-step process when working with a case family:
Step 1: Connect
- A Family in need is either brought to the attention of a group life leader, Care Pastor, benevolence committee or dedicated lay leader; or the family accesses our ministry directly.
- The family completes and submits an application from the Glass House Ministry website.
- A Glass House representative verifies the applicant, gains background information and makes sure a Family Advocate assigned to the family for accountability and support.
- A meeting with the Case Family and Advocate is conducted.
Step 2: Prepare a Plan
- A Glass House Vision Coach works with the Case Family for a predetermined period of time and designs a financial RESTORE plan. (The length of each case is based upon an individual situational analysis.)
- All decisions are made by the Case Family with the support and accountability of the Family Advocate. The Advocate is a representative of the Church and will pray for the family and hold them accountable both spiritually and emotionally.
- ***This is the stage where God “shows up,” and true unity and community is fostered within the Church body.***
Step 3: Re-Engage
When families begin to suffer financially, they often begin to pull away from the Church body, from their relationship with God, and from family and friends. In short, they attempt to “go it alone”. Through the RESTORE process and with the support of the Family Advocate, families are able to relinquish their pride and self-reliance and embrace humility, community and reliance on God. At this point, a successful Case Family will begin to function within the boundaries of their new financial parameters. This fosters greater family intimacy, spiritual growth, and a strong rededication of time, talents and treasures to the Church.
The end result: As Glass House Ministry and the Church body invest in the financial wellbeing of families, we affect the generational legacy for the Kingdom of God.
