Glass House Ministry has a passion for the families within the body of the local church
At Glass House Ministry, we:
- Partner with Churches to provide resources and hands-on assistance that are vital to the ongoing strength and financial growth of the local Church.
- Provide access to local care resources, money management classes and one-on one financial counseling for families -- all at either no cost, or very little cost in both money and time.
- Value the strength of the Church body. Our mission is to help build and restore families in their finances so that they are free to live more devoted to Christ and give fully to Him.
What We Believe
We believe that the lifeblood of any Church is its congregation. When a Church dedicates resources to outreach in Africa, people both here and there see the Church’s devotion to that cause. However, when a Church asks their members to tithe or donate to a building fund, yet don't teach money management classes or help devoted members who are struggling financially, they can appear to be sending mixed messages.
One of the hardest areas for people is money. Pride and the world create barriers that prevent us from achieving full devotion to surrendering our finances to God.
As Churches focus outwardly, we need to also focus inwardly on our attendees. We believe that as people’s devotion to the Lord strengthens, their time, talent and treasure will become more intentional, and impactful. The services provided by Glass House Ministry are designed to help your congregation deepen its devotion.
Our Impact
Through our services, we have witnessed families restore their financial foundation, strengthen their family intimacy, deepen their relationship with God and rededicate their stewardship of time, talents and treasures. Our goal is to establish more partnerships with churches and families in order to achieve these goals on a broader scale.
Here is an example of how Glass House Ministry has impacted families within one local Church:
At the start of our "Making Cents" workshop, only 25% of participants were keeping track of their income and expenses, compared to 90% at the end.
- At the end of the "Making Cents" workshop, 90% of attendees stated that they had begun giving a pledged amount to the Church on a weekly basis.
- During the first 2 years of providing a financial counseling program to a local Church, 70% of families were living successfully within their financial parameters.
- Through Glass House Ministry’s one-on-one counseling, we have seen a family lose their home, yet their marriage has remained strong and the entire family remains fully connected and continues to give and serve.
- We also witnessed a single parent who was on the brink of losing everything receive coaching, prayer and an outpouring of Christian support. As a result, she was able to resume her role as a fully contributing member of the Church.
Through a unique opportunity, Glass House Ministry spear-headed a community project that worked in partnership with the city, local church and community businesses to build an extension on a home for a family in dire need. This project not only strengthened this family’s faith and hope for a brighter future, but impacted an entire community to bond for a greater cause. Read more…
